What is Polar Plunge?

A Polar Plunge is an event where participants raise money for Special Olympics and jump in a cold body of water along with hundreds of other brrrave Plungers. Our plunges are held from the Berkshires to the Cape at lakes, oceans, pools, ski resorts and even a brewery. Some Plunges include costume parades, and others feature local food vendors. Each Plunge is unique, but the similarity between them all is the sense of community and the common goal of raising money for Special Olympics athletes.

Our Role

Our team's objective was to increase the number of signups for the New River Polar Plunge held in February 2020. We did this through the following marketing efforts:

  1. Marketed the event through an on-campus booth held on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019.

  2. Marketed the event through classroom lectures and student organization meetings.

More information regarding the results of this project can be found in our Final Client Report.
