Raising Awareness
Special Olympics is raising awareness about the abilities of people with intellectual disabilities. Through sports, the Special Olympics showcase the skills and dignity of their athletes. At the same time, Special Olympics brings people with and without intellectual disabilities together to see and take part in the transformative power of sports.
Our Role
Our team's objective was to set up a booth on Virginia Tech's campus to raise funds and increase awareness for Special Olympics Virginia. The booth held on-campus including the following:

An opportunity for people to donate to the Special Olympics Virginia.
Spread awareness through handing out various merchandise such as t-shirts, wristbands, etc.
Inform people about the various opportunities Special Olympics Virginia offers such as the Polar Plunge and volunteering.
